BASF Oide Summer School for Chemistry Teachers

We are delighted to announced details of the 14th Annual BASF Oide Summer School for Chemistry Teachers which will be held in the Eureka Centre, University College Cork on Wednesday 18th June 2025.  You can download the programme by clicking here.
This Summer School involves a partnership between BASF, Oide, ISTA Cork Branch, RSC, and UCC.  The theme for the Summer School is Great ideas and teaching resources for teachers of Leaving Certificate Chemistry.
The Summer School for Chemistry Teachers has always proved very popular with teachers. We will give you a warm welcome to UCC and look after you very well. In addition to covering a wide range of topics for teaching the new Leaving Certificate chemistry curriculum specification, you will obtain lots of good teaching ideas and resources, you will enjoy a nice  lunch in the UCC staff dining room and, thanks to sponsorship of Molymod kits from the Molymod company, you will be entered into a draw for a raffle of Molymod kits that will take place on the day!
Parking is available in UCC and details of parking and the location of the Eureka Centre will be sent to all registered participants.
All bookings must be made via Oide on the online booking form: https://oide.ie/apply-book-now/teachers/
If you have any queries re registration or encounter difficulty with booking, please contact Seán Arthur directly at sean.arthur@oide.ie.
I would also like to thank Dr John O’Donoghue, RSC, for his continued support of the Summer School and the ISTA Cork branch  for their organisation of the Summer School, especially Declan Kennedy. A special word of thanks to BASF for their continued support of this Summer School.
