CIT 2 minute survey on developing an online science teaching laboratory

CIT is hoping to develop a teaching science laboratory that can do the following:

• Pre-record a series of practical experiments on the JC / LC syllabi in HD quality.
• Carry out post production on these videos (time lapse / animation / overdubbing etc
• Host them on a server to be made freely available to teachers

They also to use the lab to broadcast curriculum specific material live over the internet (interactive practicals / live Q and A sessions / revision sessions / study tips etc). These would be moderated by experts in the area and again made freely available to participating classes.

This second objective  is ambitious so they are looking to get opinions from teachers as to whether it would be supported should SFI funding be successful.
