The IoBI medals will be awarded to the highest performing students of the Leaving Certificate Biology class 2016 at 7pm on Friday 18th November in the National Botanic Gardens.

The event will be followed by an open lecture entitled “In Search of Sanctuary! Is it in the biologist’s contract to inform and lead public policy and law towards environmental sustainability?”

The Institute of Biology of Ireland, as part of the 2016 Activity Series, invites its members, families, friends and the general public to attend this FREE event.

Awards of medals of excellence by the Institute of Biology of Ireland will be presented to students who achieved the highest marks in the 2014 Leaving Certificate Biology exam. Certificates of Teaching Commendation will also be presented to the teachers of these students.
