Images of Starlight in the National Botanic Gardens

An exhibition of over 60 beautiful Astronomical Images captured by amateur astronomers from all over Ireland will be on display on Thursday 18th February from 2pm-4pm. Join IoPI Teachers in the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin Dublin 9 for a guided tour of the exhibition with astro expert  John Flannery.

Organised with the Irish Astronomical Society and the Irish Federation of Astronomical Societies in association with IoP Teachers Ireland.

Institute of Biology of Ireland

The Institute of Biology of Ireland invites its members, families, friends and general public to join them this Sunday July 19th for a DUAL activity day.

Activity 1: Guided historical tour (1.5 hours) of Glasnevin Cemetery and Museum at 11.30am.
Activity 2: Guided tour (1.5 hours) of National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9 at 2.00pm.

You may choose ONE or BOTH activities – the choice is yours. Both tours are family friendly events.

Physics High Flyers

As part of the 2012 Dublin City of Science Festival, the Institute of Physics in Ireland(IOPI) are proud to announce that they will be hosting a ‘Physics High Flyers’ event on Saturday May 5th in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, 123 St Stephens Green, Dublin 2.
