Chemistry CPD Event at Tallaght Community School
Session 2: Mole Concept Stoichiometry (Including titrations Flowchart Mop Up session 1)
This event takes place on Monday 27th of February starting 6-15 to 6-30 pm with a short interval at 7-15 for tea/coffee. The session will finish at 8.15 sharp
The genesis of this workshop/ document is to facilitate the development of logic, common sense and applications of simple ratios. This is going to be an Active Learning CPD with a calculator required (or phone) required.
Michael O’Connor, the Chemistry teacher at Tallaght Community School has developed this visually appealing template for this event. A heavily edited and updated version 2.0 booklet based on student feedback (Top Tips and Possible Pitfalls included) will be in use in the evening.
The aim is to demystify the text-heavy commentaries that often accompany worked solutions to mole-based calculations. Attendees will not be pushed outside their comfort zone by simply manipulating exam solutions that should be familiar to the teachers.
