ISTA @ BTYSTE

The ISTA was present at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition last week, with our stand proving popular to passers by and, in particular, the display of photos from the recently announced winners of our science photography competition. The ISTA also presented a special reward to one project; this year, the judging panel opted to award the ISTA Special Prize to Aimee and Ashlee Keogh from Tallaght Community School for their project ‘Mind the Gap’, focusing on improving study habits. The girls also won the top prize in the Behavioural Science category and will travel to Osaka in Japan for Expo. We’re grateful to the teachers who spent time at the ISTA stand, but especially to Rory Geoghegan who was ever present. Thanks also to Aodhagan O’Suilleabhain who displayed the winners and runners up from the science photo competition at the stand. Below are a  selection of photos from the week in the RDS. Congratulations to all teachers who had students represent their schools at the exhibition this year; the extra work and commitment does not go unnoticed.
