ISTA PharmaChemical Ireland Teacher Awards 2011

This year the ISTA – PharmaChemical Ireland teacher awards have been revamped to allow a team of teachers (maximum 4 teachers) from a school to enter for the awards. Very attractive prizes of €1,200 for the winning team with runner up prizes of €600 have been sponsored by PharmaChemical Ireland. The purpose of these awards is to facilitate the sharing of good practice in the teaching of science between members.
Please find attached a copy of the letter sent to all school Principals along with the application form.  The closing date for applications is the 25th March.
We encourage all members to enter this year’s awards.

2011 ISTA Pharmachemical Ireland Teacher Awards

These highly attractive awards seek to recognise the invaluable work being carried out by members around the country in the teaching and promotion of science and science careers at second level. This year, the competition is open to all current members of the ISTA.  Entrants are requested to give a 40minute presentation on a topic of their choice, related to the teaching of science subjects, to their local branch between now and the end of February, 2011.  Full details along with application form are available in the attached document.
