New Senior Cycle Science Draft Specifications

Before Christmas, the NCCA released new draft specifications (syllabi) for the three Senior Cycle Sciences: Biology, Physics and Chemistry. In addition, a public consultation period has begun where the NCCA have invited teachers, students, industry experts or indeed anyone with an interest in the teaching and learning of Science at Senior Cycle. The three specifications can be downloaded below.

The ISTA will, of course, be making a submission to the consultations on behalf of our members. To ensure that our members get an opportunity to address the new specification, a series of discussion webinars on the draft specification. Members should receive details about these webinars via email. Be sure to keep your membership up to date!
