Science Educator of the Year 2025

Congratulations to Aodhagan O’Súilleabháin who was presented with the ISTA Science Educator of the Year Award at our Conference Gala Dinner on Friday April 4th. He was presented with the award by Declan Kennedy (ISTA & UCC) and Siobhán Dean from BioPharmaChem Ireland, who sponsor this award. Aodhagan is a worthy recipient of the award. He’s a former Chairperson who navigated the ISTA through the difficult Covid-19 pandemic years, transitioning to online CPD and even an online Annual Conference in 2020. He coordinates the technical aspects of the ISTA’s National CPD programme and runs our very successful science photography competition. Above all else though, he provides wisdom and common sense to the ISTA Council and is working hard to reinvigorate the Carlow / Kilkenny branch. Congratulations to Aodhagan.
