SciFest National Final 2021
SciFest National Final to Take Place Virtually for the Second Year Running
We are excited to announce that the National Final of SciFest, Ireland’s largest and most prestigious second-level STEM fair programme, will take place virtually on 26th and 27th November 2021. Now in its sixteenth year, SciFest encourages a love of STEM, is free to enter and open to all second-level students.
At the SciFest National Final award-winning students from the 16 regional SciFest@College STEM fairs will gather online to compete for a number of prestigious awards. The overall winner/s, the SciFest STEM Champion/s 2021, will be announced on Saturday 27th November. This award includes an opportunity to represent Ireland at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2022 which will take place in Atlanta, Georgia in May. Other awards include the opportunity to represent Ireland at the Hong Kong Global Youth Science and Technology Bowl (GYSTB) 2022 and to attend the Berlin Long Night of Science. The event will also include a special competition for selected winners of the Boston Scientific Medical Devices Award.
The SciFest 2021 National Final will attract both Irish and international audiences. Visitors are invited to view the projects online, to vote for their favourite project in the STEM Outreach Award and to connect with this next generation of scientific leaders and innovators.
More information about the full programme, which will include a mix of live and pre-recorded sessions, will be shared in the coming days and weeks.
