Teaching Science Through Irish – RSC Webinar

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Ireland regional team, in partnership with the ISTA, are hosting a unique online session for science teachers for Seachtain na Gaeilge 2024. The free online webinar will provide advice and resources for teaching science through Irish (Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert), with a particular emphasis on chemistry. It is mainly aimed at student, NQT and early career teachers but we also welcome established teachers who are members of the ISTA and/or the RSC Teach Chemistry programme that are considering teaching through the medium of Irish for the first time

The event will be run through Irish and English, switching when necessary at various stages. Our facilitator is Niamh Ní Dhrisceoil, Múinteoir i bhFeighil, Gaelcholáiste Choilm, Corcaigh. Other speakers include Dr John O’Donoghue from the RSC and a representative from the ISTA.
