The Digital Classroom

Integrating technology easily into the classroom and creating resources: Technology is changing the way we teach and learn and consequently it has become an important component in effective classrooms.

ISTA member Una McLysaght is running courses in July & August. The course is open to both post primary and primary school teachers.It will be of great interest also to newly qualified teachers.
This innovative modular course we are offering has many aspects of multimedia integration in the classroom, giving you great ideas to plan and create exciting interactive lessons for students to enhance learning.Great ideas also for Transition Year modules

Modules:
Module 1: Easily create your own website
Module2: Digital storytelling. Music and Film editing. Podcasting
Module3: Creating a variety of innovative digital class resources
Module4: Scratch animation for beginners

This course takes place over 4 days from 10am-1pm.
Dates:2/07/12 – 5/07/12 and 20/08/12 – 23/08/12
Each module costs €40 or €120 for the complete 4 modules.
Venue: St Tiernan’s Community School, Dublin 16

Participants should be familiar with uploading and downloading files and be comfortable with basic ICT tasks.
