ISTA Senior Science Quiz Final 2023

Congratulations and well done to all who attended the ISTA Senior Science Quiz Finals in Trinity College. It was a wonderful event, with 41 teams from all over Ireland competing, but it was Coláiste Muire Máthair from Galway that deservedly took home the trophy. Each of the 41 finalists had qualified through a series of 14 regional rounds in November and they all congregated at the Trinity Biomedical Science Institute (TBSI) to take part in a challenging science quiz – with the questions stemming from the three senior cycle science courses and general science knowledge.

The ISTA is hugely grateful to TBSI for hosting the national final and to their staff for being so accommodating on the day. We’re also hugely grateful to our principal sponsor BioPharmaChem Ireland for their continued generous support. Additional sponsorship was received from Studyclix, Gill Books, Institute of Physics, Royal Society of Chemistry and Edco; once again, we are extremely thankful for their support. Finally, many thanks to the Dublin Branch of the ISTA for running the national final once again this year especially Lisa Darley, Brian Smyth and Humphrey Jones.
