One Day Course on Industrial Chemistry and Atmospheric Chemistry

One day course for Chemistry Teachers on Industrial Chemistry and Atmospheric Chemistry in the Leaving Certificate Chemistry syllabus will take place in the Eureka Centre in UCC. In addition, a laboratory practical session on the new practical work in the revised Leaving Certificate Chemistry syllabus will take place as well as a visit to the BASF plant.

This Summer School for Chemistry Teachers has taken place for the past three years and has been so popular with teachers that it was necessary to repeat it on a second day to cater for the demand.

In view of the fact that this summer school is also expected to be very popular with teachers this year, the session taking place on Tuesday 23rd June is being repeated on Wednesday 24th June. Due to the emphasis on laboratory practical work, the number of teachers attending each day will be limited to 30. Travel expenses and subsistence allowance will be paid by PDST under the usual terms.

Places will be allocated strictly in the order in which applications are received.

 Certificates of Attendance will be presented to all teachers who attend this continuing professional development course.
